"I have just read the words and must admit I had a few tears in my eyes although some were from having a chuckle. You have captured my Father in every word"
- a family member responding to a draft of the words woven from the memories shared with me
We all have a story to tell
I can help you tell that story
Over the last decade I have been listening to stories, helping people recall their memories and weaving those memories into a form that can be delivered at a special event.
I weave words from your memories, stories, feelings and thoughts - I aim to paint pictures in the minds of those that hear these words delivered.
'I thought you must have known him' (a comment made to me after delivering a funeral service for someone I sadly never met).
I have worked with individuals with terminal illness - a real privilege.
I have worked with those wishing to have a memorial either shortly after the funeral or to mark an anniversary at some stage that seems right.
I work with you. Just contact me with no commitment and have a talk.
Yes - I am a qualified reminiscence facilitator - but what use is that to you? Reminiscence is all about respecting individuality, listening and triggering memories. People will often be surprised at how the memories suddenly start flowing - 'I don't know how, but you seem to have got a lot of stories out of me!' It's a process I have practiced a lot - and it is such a privilege to have the stories shared and be able to pull them together in a way that really captures the essence of a person.
